Dr. Florian Biehl was born in Munich in 1976, studied civil engineering with a focus on structural design at the Technical University of Dortmund and earned his Ph.D. in naval architecture at Hamburg University of Technology.
 
He developed a methodology to simulate impacts of drifting cargo vessels on offshore installations which was a requirement for the German consenting process for offshore wind farms.
 
Since 2007, he has held various positions at certification bodies and was involved in many of the early offshore wind farms in Germany and Europe.
 
Later on, he was active in the development, planning and realization of offshore wind farms, here especially in fabrication and quality management aspects. Driving projects to excellence is his passion. Superior supply chain management is essential to transform the subcontractors of any project from being a liability to forming an asset.

Thomas Köther was born in Wolfsburg in 1967 and studied mechanical engineering with a focus on materials technology at the BHT (Berlin University of Applied Sciences).

Since 2006, he has been working exclusively in the field of offshore wind. As head of a working group, Thomas Köther played a leading role in the BSH Standard Design 2015.

Thomas is nationwide the first publicly appointed and sworn expert (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) in the field of Quality Management in the Offshore Wind Energy Sector.

Reiner Kruska is engineer, entrepreneur and one of the pioneers of German offshore wind energy.

After many years leading in management positions in mechanical engineering and power plant construction, he accompanied the development and construction of the first commercial German offshore wind farms and the development of the first 5 MW offshore wind turbine, Multibrid M-5000.

Since 2010, he has been contributing this valuable experience to his companies, PM Plant Management GmbH and Technica Nova GmbH. He has played a key role in more than 60% of all built German offshore wind farms – from the drawing board to operation.

As an expert and consultant appointed for 10 years, he covers all main areas of the offshore wind industry – from design and approval to contract management and operational optimization.
